Description: This opportunity is to work in the Engineering team for Intelligent Agent for Service Cloud. We work very nimbly and are building this product from the ground-up in a start-up like environment. Salesforce is looking for a Machine Learning engineer to lead in the Service Cloud - Einstein Intelligent Agent organization. We need someone who is technically strong, highly collaborative and passionate about building data product and working closely with our customers. You will work with a team of exceptional software engineers and data engineers working on applications written in enterprise Java stack on the core platform and on our AI/Machine learning platform using Scala/Spark . We work in a highly collaborative environment, and you will liase with a highly cross functional team comprised of Data Scientists, Software Engineers, UX experts, product managers to build AI Apps. We value execution, transparent communication, continuous learning, feedback and making learning fun. Responsibilities : Develop machine learning software, data pipelines and models that can generalize across hundreds of thousands of Salesforce customers, but can automatically adapt to each of their individual features. Bring machine learning models into production by running experiments at scale on customer datasets. Build multi-tenant RESTful services for low-latency scoring/inferences at scale, and training massive amounts of data Partner with Product Managers and Data Scientists to understand customer requirements and design prototypes and bring ideas to production Contribute to the long-range plan, and build the technology for taking the Einstein Platform to hundreds of thousands of Salesforce customers, and hundreds of billions of predictions per day Build large-scale data pipelines and computation systems that process massive amount of data. Containerize training and serving code and expose into an endpoint service. Brainstorm data product ideas with the data scientists that built some of the most exciting data products that hundreds of millions people use every day Work with fellow engineers building out other parts of the infrastructure, effectively communicating your needs and understanding theirs Develop, and contribute to, open source ML systems such as Apache Spark and Tensorflow to train and serve models Building intelligence into our services to make them run smarter. Required Skills: You have industry experience with writing code (e.g. Spark, python, Scala, Java) and taking machine learning models to production. Preference for 5+ years of industry experience. You have to love data - this is what we do. We are looking for people who are excited about different and unique data sets, and all the ways that they could be used in order to improve user experience. Strong customer focus and service orientation. You are metrics driven and run end to end experiments to evaluate model efficacy. You have to want to make a difference - we don't like status quo. You have to be a very quick learner - we face new challenges every day, anything that ranges between the operating model of a financial services companies to how to make Spark work with the S3 file system Hands on experience with applying machine learning techniques to different datasets Experience in building software on AWS cloud computing such as EMR, Sagemaker and S3 and Heroku Experience writing and running production level code (e.g. Scala, Spark, Python, Java) Proven track record in building products on some production-grade big data systems such as Spark, Kafka, Storm, and Hadoop Preferred Requirements: Particular expertise in Spark and Scala Have experience with MLlib Have experience with tensorflow framework History of contributions to Hadoop, Spark, Storm, Hadoop, or similar open source projects Participate in meaningful conversations with your team members about really important topics, such as: Should the cuteness of panda bears be a factor in their survivability? Is love a decision tree or a regression model? How far ahead would society be today if we had 12 fingers instead of 10?
