Job Description The IBM BigFix Product Team is looking for a UX Designer to work on-site in our brand new Emeryville office with our development team, which includes developers, test automation engineers, UX designers, and L2 support. You will partner closely with product owners, developers, and customers to optimize and improve the user experience of our products. You will support cross-functional teams throughout the lifecycle of product development and utilize a full range of user research, product design, and interaction design skills. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional capable of prioritizing multiple projects, while building successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders and remaining deeply committed to spirit of collaboration. Required Knowledge and Experience Lead teams through discovery research, ideation, design, and testing of new product concepts Build empathy and be an advocate for our customers through participation in human-centered research and design Translate user needs, style guides, and requirements into elegant solutions for complex problems Leverage analytics tools to measure success, present opportunities, and support decision-making Strong portfolio of UX/UI design work that shows projects from empathy to iteration Knowledge and understanding of web, mobile web, and their limitations Create intuitive and elegant product design solutions that solve complex consumer problems and drive business results Create visual artifacts to articulate, inform and validate ideas with consumers and stakeholders (prototypes, wireframes, sketches, journey maps, personas, etc.) Participate in user experience research to understand consumer needs, opportunities and pain points to continually inform an iterative design and discovery process Optimize design solutions for a wide range of devices and interfaces Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including speaking and presentation skills used to lead design sessions with external customers Experience with design software tools such as Sketch, Adobe suite, Invision, Axure, etc. Qualifications · Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in UX/UI Design or related field · 5-7 years of relevant experience · Relevant portfolio showcasing design solutions and strategic approaches · Ability to work on-site with our development team in Emeryville About HCL HCL Technologies, the developer of IBM BigFix, is a next-gen global tech company that helps enterprises reimagine their business in the digital age.
